World premiere for fair digital social network We.Network and Social CRM

Karlsruhe, 15.03.2024. Drum roll for fair.digital communities: Around 400 co-creators, supporters and We ambassadors celebrated the world premiere of We.Network – for the first time in a freely accessible beta version – and its expansion to social CRM for cities, associations and companies.

  • As the world's first fair.digital social network, We.Network enables private individuals, companies, organizations and regional communities to network securely and interact in a trustworthy manner.
  • The independent alternative to profit-maximizing platform oligopolies is designed to strengthen the digital sovereignty and freedom of citizens, companies and organizations in Europe.
  • Combining We.Network with the cloud-based CRM solution SmartWe provides companies for the first time with a social CRM that takes the development and maintenance of successful relationships to a new level.

Accompanied by the impulsive rhythms of Karlsruhe-based percussion artist Leonie Klein and amazing magic tricks by digital magician Simon Pierro, the guests on site rang in the new era of exchange in fair.digital communities with glowing wristbands and rattling mini-instruments.

A fair.digital future

“We are convinced that the future in the digital world can be shaped positively if it follows fair.digital principles,” said Martin Hubschneider, CEO of CAS Software AG and initiator of We.Network, at the world premiere. “With We.Network, we are creating a platform that promotes and protects both social interaction and digital self-determination.“ As specific examples, Hubschneider presented We.Read for a new social reading experience, as well as the integration of We.Local for multimedia services and the integration of the GDPR-compliant map platform SmartMaps into We.Network.

”Channels” support community building

Communities and individual users can publish and share news in the “channels” of We.Network. Users have the opportunity to react to posts, write comments and take part in surveys. For personal exchanges, users can join groups or start individual encrypted chats. The new geochannels offer a special innovation: they can be used to find companies and offers in the respective vicinity of the users.

fair.digital: We.Network strengthens digital freedom

What is unique about We.Network is that it bears the fair.digital seal of quality and consistently protects the privacy of its users. No personality profiles are collected, nor is data passed on to third parties without the explicit permission of the users. “The digital sovereignty of users is the key to freedom in the networked world,” Martin Hubschneider is convinced. ”Our goal with We.Network, but also with our other solutions, is to establish trustworthy options for digital exchange in communities as a new standard. As a data protection-compliant alternative to existing platform oligopolies, which are only subject to their profit maximization, We.Network is committed to the common good and a publicly accessible value manifesto,” says the CAS board member at ZKM. Consequently, the fair.digital network is independent and in the ownership of the shareholders.

Social CRM for cities, associations and companies

The combination of We.Network with the cloud-based CRM solution SmartWe has created the world's first fair.digital social CRM. Cities, associations, companies and organizations have the opportunity to engage directly with their citizens, members, customers, partners, prospects or fans in a completely new way. The city of Karlsruhe and the Bioland e.V. association are already using We.Network for their communication. The merger between SmartWe and We.Network to create a social CRM was recognized with the Red Dot Award 2023.

Users can now explore the beta version of We.Network and start their own channels. Further information and an easy registration option are available on the official We.Network website at www.we.network and in the Apple and Google app stores.
